The first New Balance 550 sneaker came out in 1989 following other major companies releasing similar models such as the Nike Dunk. This sneaker was designed by Steven Smith and was originally conceived as a basketball sneaker. After many years, this “failed” basketball shoe has experienced huge success in the last two/three years, like many other New Balance models like the 990v3 and 2002R. The most famous collaborations of New Balance 550 sneakers are with Joe Freshgoods, Aime Leon Dore and Comme des Garcons. New Balance hype is taking over the whole world, and Belgrade and Serbia are not far behind, so today more and more New Balance silhouettes are seen on the streets of Belgrade.
